Off to the allotment we go......

Went to collect our veg for Christmas dinner

Collected a few savoy so that a can give some to a couple of friends as well. They weren't that big but I noticed Asda ones weren't either haha. Also found this romanenco brocolli for Boxing Day.

Lots of parnips and some swedes. We ate the bigger swedes last month. Parnips I hope have a better flavour now after the frosts we have had.

Well as for brussel sprouts they didn't do well at all but we are having what we got anyway. Be ok if we didn't like them but we must be the only family that does.

RIP my mother hen

Sadly our Maran passed away today - I thought she was quite old when I got her but she did us proud and laid us eggs and even hatched an egg this year. She will be missed as she was The Mummy!! xx
