Its starting to look good again

Well i've been taking it easy lately on the allotment and not doing alot really, a little here and there but everytime I do go I forget the camera.

The rain has really helped with the weeding and the soil is so good to dig i've manged to get alot done and feel alot happier now and at peace with the allotment again. You get a spell when you feel you can't carry on but thats passed which i'm pleased to say.

Our first crop of onions have been dug up and put to dry in the greenhouse. They are much better than last year I think all the rain helped alot. When pulling up the onions they smelled really sweet and nice.

The broad beans are well in flower along with black fly but that shouldn't cause too much of a problem. I grew Sutton this year and sowed direct in the ground back in Feb so they are a later crop than previous years.
Our first radishes are ready. Wasn't sure what they were when I planted them as I found a little plastic bag in my allotment bag and thought i'll try these. Beetroot are coming along nicely too. I'm a little sad this year as i've no parsnips for Christmas dinner, whatever way I tried to grow them they failed.
Swiss Chard, kale (but a different type this year) have been planted. Greyhound cabbages, sweetcorn, runner beans, french beans, courgettes & squashes all planted now I can't wait for the results. Potatoes coming along nicely too.
