Hatching eggs

I've brought another lot of hatching eggs for the incubator as the first lot came to nothing. Don't think it was all to do with the eggs but me getting used the the new incubator and the temperature and one day the incubator didn't go back on after I turned them so had a bit of bad luck with them. Heres hoping with the new lot that we have chicks in 3 weeks.

The box has been ordered for the back garden to start growing our tender stuff, I thought salad would be good. The rotivator had been taken to the shop to be fixed so lets hope thats back for Easter.

After a slow start

Wasn't sure what to do this morning as there was a few things a wanted to do but couldn't get motivated. After weighing myself on the wii and finding out i've gained two pounds after I felt a bit fat earlier in the week didn't help with the motivation at all. All of a sudden after looking out the window I said to the boys i'm popping to the allotment to get a tool I left there so off I went with gloves just incase I felt like doing anything.

After the weather we have just had rain & sun last week the ground is lovely to work with and the weather was warm and inviting today to do some work. I pulled up all the parnips that were starting to grow again and weeded in the process. I got a bag full so can offer round to friends.I sowed 500g of onion sets I would think there was about 100 and broad beans not sure how they will be as I like to put them in and over winter due to black fly. I feel a little more at ease as i've started now at the allotment.

The allotment is also coming to the back garden as we are creating a bed for growing at home more tender plants that need more attention. This is what it looks like at the mo.

Well I feel very tired and now have a hurting knee for some reason so after this post i'm having a lay down. Shame really sun is shinning and saying come work in the garden but I think rest is required. Have a good week everyone!!

Our Animals

This chicken was hatched at my sons school in 2008 and she is a very gentle and nosey bird.

Our white egg layer has been good to us again nosey but not as tame to tame to come right up to us. I have one more chicken but didn't get a picture.
Below is Morris our ferret - we have had him a long time now must be 4 years.

Below is Flash one of our 2 rabbits.

In an incubator I have 6 eggs so hopefully in 3 weeks time we may have some chicks. x
