All warmed up

and feeling quite good about the allotment now. I made up my mind last night that I would pop to the allotment this morning as we needed parnips for dinner. It must of been a good year for parnips as I did well and I noticed a supermarket selling them for 10p for 500g which I thought was way too cheap. Carrots always amaze me as I find they are so hard to grow and yet the supermarkets sell them quite cheap.

Back from the allotment had a nice cup of tea and cake all warmed ready to write up. I've done my first sowing there too .....yes carrots....see if they grow. The ground was lovely to work on warm and moist. I did the sowing of carrots were I had dug out the parnips. Parnips i've still got loads in the ground, reackon they will last me half the year. The allotment won't take too much work really once I get the rotivator out. Well really I have to be nice to Hubby and ask him if he will do it for me, only trouble is i've booked him doing the back garden next Sunday so will have to leave it for a while.

Well i'm leaving this post on a high, good work done this morning and I can look forward to productive 2010.
